Part I: Research your topic to discover what happend during your event. What are the main facts and storlines?

The day conflict began with FBI and ATF (Bureau of Alcohol, Tabaco and Firearms) showing up on site just outside of Waco Texas. For 51 days, the ATF and the FBI waited outside the compound, using negotiators to try to end the stand-off peacefully.

The people on the inside were the Davidian Religious Group.

Their leader was David Koresh.

On Sunday April 18th, armored vehicles arrived with intention of clearing and creating a new front door to the building.

On Monday 19 April, the FBI notified the Davidians of the imminent tear gas assault.

The Davidians begin shooting shortly after the gas attack began at 6 a.m.

The gas attack continued for several hours, and the armored vehicles begin smashing holes in the buildings.

Immediately following the first breaching in the building Davidians start firing shots at the vehicles.

Then two unidentified males caught on FBI survalence tapes saying, ""Everybody wake up, let's start to pray", then, "Pablo have you poured it yet" ..."Huh" ... "Have you poured it yet"... "in the hallway"... "things are poured, right?"

A few hours later at 12:07, the first flames are spotted in the front of the building then most of the building goes up in flames and some followers are spotted fleeing the complex.

About 1/2 hour later the emergency vehicles arive. But by that time the entire building is incinerated.

It is reported that there were few survivors.
